Ton Ton Ramen (Waipahu)

When I venture out to Waipahu, I have my usual favorite places to eat. Two of them are Tanioka's and Ton Ton Ramen. The ladder is great on cold, overcast days...or who am I kidding...any time! They have a variety of different ramen options- Ton Ton, Ippin, Soft Rib Ramen, and their newest, Oxtail Ramen. Oh my goodness, the oxtail is fall-off-the-bone tender and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. I was sort of expecting this to be mediocre. I find Oxtail Soup is either really great or really bad. But At Ton Ton, boy was it memorable. I got their other popular ramen, Soft Rib, but I tasted some of Dad's Oxtail, and I had wished I ordered that! Shoot!

Oxtail Soup- You can have it with rice or ramen!

Soft Rib Ramen

The meat was definitely not as tender as the Oxtail, but I love all of the veggies and garlic bits in it. So yummy. The egg is also my favorite part. It is marinated in this salty dashi, and seriously melts in your mouth. It is the creamiest and most tastiest egg I've ever had. I always ask for extra!
