Shave Ice in Redwood City

For our business meeting in Redwood City last week, the company put on a "Luau" for Dad and I. How cute! Though the food was mediocre and the weather was chilly, everyone put on their best hawaiian print dress or aloha shirt, congregated by the pool and chowed down on "chicken katsu," "lomi salmon," "mahi mahi," and "coconut shrimp" to name a few. The one authentic (and best) thing they had was a shave ice stand! The owners family is actually from Hawaii, but now live in Norcal and do private catering events. It was awesome!

While everyone was in their aloha attire, Dad and I knew it was going to be chilly, so of course, being the warm-weathered folks, we had on jeans and a jacket!
