Chapel of the Holy Cross

This must-see architectural landmark and shrine was created more than half a century ago. It was built by a woman who wanted to honor her parents, and is now maintained by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Phoenix. It is unforgettable sight and very spiritual place, where you can light candles for loved ones or loved ones passed. No services are held here, and anyone of any faith may come to visit.

"Looking at it directly, it seems the rocks parted to embrace the structure. From the side, it looks like it was dropped into place; from above, it resembles a diving board or runway where one might leap towards spirit." -www.gatewaytosedona.com

Can you see the eagle that guards the Chapel?
It's actually a natural formation!!!

Can you see the "Madonna and Child Rock?"
"Twin Nuns" to right of Madonna and Child.

While on our way to Chapel of the Holy Cross, we spot this gorgeous house located on the same property.
