Maita'i Catamaran Ride and Sheraton's Rum Fire

There's just something about the summer time and hotels. Maybe it's that I need a break from the hustle and bustle or that I'm slightly obsessed with staycations. I mean, you read about the one Sunday I spent at Disney's Aulani here, and how I felt like I was in fairytale land, laying in the sun and sipping on Lava Flows, all the while just a 45 minute drive from home.

And then, just recently, my BFF Joe, some friends and I took advantage of a Living Social deal and went out on a 90 minute Maita'i Catamaran ride. Then, we all had drinks and some pupus at Rum Fire. What a day! And a beautiful one at that. Everyday in Hawaii is beautiful, but it's just something about those summer days that are so mesmerizing and magical. Please don't end, Summer!

If you ever stay at the Sheraton in Honolulu, I highly recommend catching one of Maita'i's Catamaran rides, Sunset Cruise or their "Booze Cruise," and also hitting up Rum Fire, any time of the day. It's right on the beach, breezy, and a nice, casual place to sip on cocktails. My favorite thing to do ;)
