My good friend, Zoe, came home for a short break from college. (She's also graduating soon...congrats Zoey!!!) Her favorite place to lunch is Mermaid Bar located in Neiman Marcus. She describes it as a step above their Espresso Bar, and a step below Mariposa. I've never been to Mermaid Bar before (but have been to Mariposa many times), so I was up to it! After reading not-so-great reviews on Yelp, I was weary.
Happy to say that I really enjoyed lunching there, and thought the food was pretty decent. For the price? Eh, a little on the pricey side, but a nice experience. Clean, well-lit and comfortable. Also has a nice menu full of salads, sandwiches and soups. Nothing out-of-this-world.
I would suggest the Open-Faced Tuna Melt. Loved that it was on soft Pita bread! A different take.
