Fourth of July Festivities

The one party that we host at our house each year is the lovely Fourth of July. What fun this year's was! Now, it's sadly Tuesday, and our nice long weekend has ended. Back to the grind!

Now, I'm not the greatest cook, but I do excel at making fantastic guacamole! Prepared that, plus decided to be festive and layer some red/white and blue jello squares. Trust me, I went far and beyond my cooking capabilities!

My Uncle and Aunty brought over Hy's tenderloin filets, which were honestly, the best cuts of steak I've had in my lifetime. Unbelievably tender, even with mine cooked to medium well. I could definitely look forward to that again. As for everything else on the menu? We had everything from Redondo's hawaiian winners, portuguese sausage, watermelon/berries, super sweet corn, salad, peanuts, edamame, dad's two kinds of potato salad (one with tuna, one without), stuffed eggs, teri chicken, and sushi, to Aunty Faye's awesome Pineapple Upside-Down Cake dessert, the best you will ever have. What a spread it was! I made sure everyone came with empty stomachs.

And to top it off, we had a spectacular view of Maunalua Bay's fireworks show. It was a great weekend!!

Hope everyone had a great one!

The jello I worked so hard on!

Topped off this wonderful day with Pineapple Upside-Down Cake.
Aunty knows it's my favorite of hers!
