Pastel Colorblock

I hardly wear pastels, but fell in love when I paired these two colors together. This is another one of my Victoria's Secret silk tops (which I'm obsessed with!) and these BDG jeans fit like a glove. They've become my favorite pair. I also wanted to wear this flower cut-out Nasty Gal jacket (since it's summer, of course!) that I just received in the mail and also my favorite Sam Edelman studded pumps. I'm in love with the cut-out detail and studs combo in this outfit!

HASR Bistro UPDATED!

La Gelateria Tangelo and Pineapple Sorbetto!

I recently had the chance to go back to HASR Bistro a second time in a week! I seriously love this place. The first time, we went on a Tuesday, and it was incredibly low key. This last time, on a Friday, it was crazy! Live music, crowded by 8pm, and there's no way you can request outside seating- it's just way too busy. FYI, the wine shop closes at 8pm, so get there earlier to pick up your wine bottles!

I had eaten dinner a bit earlier, so I wasn't too hungry, but we still ended up ordering a few appetizers, a bottle of wine (from next door), beer for the boys, a couple desserts......plus more cocktails. Yup, it was that kind of night!

I wasn't too impressed with any of the appetizers, but the cocktails we had were ultra-tantalizing! I'm still obsessed with their Escargot and Mushrooms dish, the Short Ribs, and the Seafood Pan Roast we had our first time here. See HERE for my first review. Hopefully, I will make a trip to HASR this week for their Osso Bucco at lunch time.

One thing I really enjoy? They serve La Gelateria Sorbetto and Gelato for dessert, and the flavors change every so often too! We tried the Tangelo and the Pineapple- the Pineapple was divine, and my favorite. The Tangelo was a little too tangy for my liking.

I would highly suggest their Chocolate Martini and Strawberry Margarita. I don't care too much for Chocolate, but the Choco Martini was surprisingly charming. And deadly. I'm sure there was a lot of vodka in it, but you could hardly tell! Definitely ordering it again!

A cup of French Onion Soup- $7. Bowl for $9.

Pomme Dilla- Potato Tortilla, Black Diamond Aged Cheddar, Sour Cream, Bacon, Chives, Truffle Oil

Shrimp Spring Rolls with Spicy Chili Aioli

Tangelo and Pineapple Sorbetto

Creme BruleƩ

Affogato- Vanilla Ice Cream topped with a shot of Espresso!

Kauai 2013

Beautiful view in Kekaha

I had the chance to drive around Kauai a lot more this year. I explored Kauai Coffee (because of my recent addiction to coffee), found a renewed love for Dani's Restaurant (their Hawaiian food breakfast is the perfect jump start), explored Hanapepe's Taro Ko Chips "store," went back to an old favorite- Deli and Bread Connection for their Lobsta Roll, and finally tried Verde (just like I said I would!).

Sorry, guys, no Hamura's this time. But read my review from 2011 here!

PS- I missed my chance to visit Glass Beach in Port Allen, but next year, I'm definitely checking it off my list!

Every year, I would meet Dad here for breakfast on our business trip. Not once did I have their Hawaiian breakfast until this year. I was always bored with their menu, but I must've been A) too drowsy from the AM flight to look at the menu or B) Dad has been keeping this a secret from me for some time! I blame Dad. This has become my favorite breakfast place.

Their Beef Stew is more like a tomato-y Hawaiian Stew (not thick like Beef Stew usually is), but it is absolutely flavorful. They have this recipe down pat. So perfect with rice. The meat is tender with small bites of carrot, potato and onion. There's not one drop of soup left when I'm finished with this!

Tell me what other restaurant serves Hawaiian food for breakfast? Their Beef Stew is what they're known for!

A beat-up old shack is the Taro Ko store. I was hesitant to walk in until I saw some lady walking out with bags of chips!

Walked out with all of these to try!

Stopped by Kauai Coffee on my way to Waimea

An immense amount of lobster meat, mushrooms and CHEESE.

This was the perfect combo- Lobsta Roll and Vanilla Cream Soda!

Verde for FISH TACOS! Located in Kapaa Shopping Center.

Margarita to start.

Seared Rare Ahi Taco and Fresh Catch Taco. Flour tortillas, cabbage, guacamole, corn strips, pico del gallo, aioli. I highly recommend these two tacos! Next I want to try their Garlic Shrimp Tacos!

The last thing before flight back home.
